Does It Exist? Finding Existing Datasets

Research creates millions of data and datasets. It's possible a specific dataset may already exist and reusing data may streamline and save time on research projects. This workshop will tour some of the data sources and databases to look for these data as well as how to evaluate, reuse, and cite existing data. Attendees are welcome to bring their current searches for data!

CIRES Graduate Student Appreciation Coffee with CGA

We all work very hard throughout the days, weeks, months! In order to acknowledge and honor that, CGA has planned a breakfast with coffee, donuts, and bagels on Wednesday (4/6) 9 -11 am in the Fellows Room/Ekeley S274 in alignment with CU's Graduate Student Appreication Week. Take a break from staring at your computer and come down to CIRES to chat with other graduate students and post-docs while enjoying some refreshments!

Industry Job Search Seminar for Grad Students and Postdocs

Join Cat Diebel-Wilson from Career Services on Mondays from 11am-12pm for a virtual seminar on the industry job search, beginning February 21st. Over 6 weekly meetings, we will discuss how to begin the industry job search, with topics including finding job postings, drafting a resume, and writing a cover letter; how to network and ask for professional references; and how to interview and negotiate to land that industry job. Each session is offered live and includes content presentation, resources, and an opportunity for questions and discussion.
