Join Dr. Suzanne Simard, professor of forest ecology at University of British Columbia, to kick off the Center for Teaching & Learning’s Academic and Professional Pathways spring workshop series. Dr. Simard will discuss her personal and professional path from working for the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, to becoming a professor of forest ecology and leading the Mother Tree Project. Dr. Simard’s many accomplishments include a TED talk, How Trees Talk to Each Other, and a recent feature in the New York Times Magazine, "The Social Life of Forests."
