Bridging Perspectives: Evolving Attitudes about Race and Teaching
This is an open, weekly gathering of faculty, staff and graduate students interested in examining race and teaching. In an informal setting, our purpose will be to encourage cross-cultural understanding and productive conversation. The subject of race often can be difficult. We will, nevertheless, endeavor to make the “space” of discussion supportive, brave, and constructive. We invite you to bring stories about classroom experiences so that we might foster sensitive attitudes as instructors, develop cultural competence, and address teaching concerns.
