The Research & Innovation Office (RIO) offers this 30-minute informal session for postdocs to bring questions about searching for funding opportunities and identifying appropriate sponsors for research and scholarly work.

Success can come with baggage, including imposter syndrome. This can cause us to experience feelings of inadequacy, fraud or self-doubt, even when evidence shows you are skilled, successful and worthy of acknowledgment.

This presentation will cover how imposter syndrome can cripple your path to success, share strategies to overcome feelings of self-doubt and increase your confidence and ownership of your strengths.

Join us to learn about Health Saving Accounts (HSAs). This seminar will share the history of HSAs, resources and benefits of having an HSA account.

Week 4: In our final session, we will discuss research and teaching statements, how to structure them, what to include, and some starting points, as well as reviewing the five questions of the standard academic interview.

Week 3: This session will discuss job letters in detail, including two possible detailed outlines, what information to include and how to tailor the job letter. We will also examine the diversity statement and how to write it, including starting points and how to determine and address the target institution’s specific diversity concerns.

Week 2: This session will introduce the CV, lay out the basic eight headings and content of an academic CV, and discuss possible sections and content beyond the basic eight headings. We will discuss strategy for building an effective CV, and offer a Q&A period about your CV.
