Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grants make up one of the key ways that CU Boulder spinouts and innovation firms fund early-development and commercialization of their technologies. To highlight the strategic use of this program, RIO's Venture Partners will provide a dynamic week-long conference featuring experts across the Colorado and national innovation ecosystem.

Just Getting Started in SBIR

Tune in for a screening and discussion of the new documentary "Picture a Scientist." Led by biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring, the film chronicles a new chapter for women in science. RSVP by January 6th to receive the movie link and password.

The Intersections Science Fellows Symposium is a postdoc-led, faculty-advised initiative to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in academic science. It will showcase 25 selected fellows’ research, and build a support network for their long-term professional development and career in science through mentoring and workshops.

Join CU Anschutz for a workshop on effective CVs and resumes and learn how to decide when to use which one. This workshop will feature an opportunity both to practice writing about your experiences, and to receive feedback on how effectively you marketed your skills and qualifications. 

This session will include sitting for 25 minutes and a brief discussion about Zen and the experience of doing zazen (sitting meditation).
