Diane Carillo, the proposal writer in the Research & Innovation Office (RIO), will walk through how to analyze NSF guidelines and will share key strategies for developing quality, competitive, fundable proposals. Attendees will be provided with a sample NSF solicitation for marking up and time will be allotted for Q&A. Advance questions are welcome at opa@colorado.edu.

In this interactive workshop learn how to prepare for and answer common interview questions, identify common U.S. cultural norms when interviewing, and how to practice for an interview so that you'll feel confident entering the job market as an international student or postdoc.

Whether you are writing your first CV or tailoring your existing CV for the job market, this 60-minute session will help you format your document, decide what to include and emphasize, and offer some suggestions for writing about your experience in ways that show your qualifications and skills to best effect. We will go over the 8 headings that start a typical CV as well as explore edge cases. We will discuss how to tailor your CV to a given posting.

Awards will be issued for Outstanding Postdocs and Outstanding Postdoc Mentors during the luncheon. The PAC Boulder, the volunteer group of postdocs on campus, will also recognize recent winners of its Travel Award program.
